Since, each the zodiac (Rashi) comprises of 30 degrees, therefore a planet remains in a zodiac till the angle of 30 degrees are complete, after the completion of which the planet moves to another Rashi.

The Planet having the angle of maximum degree in a zodiac has the effect on the person's own self.

The planet having the second maximum angle of degree in a zodiac has the effect on the person's adviser (AMATYAKARAK).

The Planet with the third maximum angle of degree in a zodiac, has the effect on person's Brother (BHRATRUKARAK).
