The creation of STOTRA is an independent science in itself. Not only are the Stotras meaningful and beneficial for the man, but also there are great powers contained in it. Because it has been created in such a way that it affects our subtle Nerves, SHAT CHAKRAS and power centers directly, as the result of which our subtle Power-centers wakes up.
The words contained in the STOTRAS have been created scientifically in such a way that it awakens our 'powers', which otherwise lies dormant. As a result these Nerves become active and a practicer is blessed with different powers
(SIDDHI). In fact, (STOTRA SADHANA) is nothing else, but the Powers of Sound. According to ARTEEME BLACKBURN the letters of Sanskrit language contain both emotions and meanings, The permutation and combinations of these letters have the power to create wonders.
The Success of STOTRA lies in its correct pronunciation. Unless the pronunciation is correct, it does not have the desirable effects on our NERVES. STOTRAS pronounced with emotion, devotion and faith becomes very powerful.
WONDERFUL EFFECTS OF SOUNDS (SHABDA)
The base of STOTRA is sound, which is very powerful. Our Scriptures have gone to the extent of calling it BRAHMA. In fact there is a great power and capability in the sound. When Words are pronounced, than it creates Vibrations. These Vibrations complete the travel by returning to the point of origin, through the medium of ETHER. The powers of the words become many fold before it returns to the source of origin. This phenomenon happens so fast that the practicer (SADHAKA) does not even realise it.
Even in our daily lives we experience the powers of sound (SHABDA). A huge elephant obeys the command of the Mahout, In circus, we see the wild animals being tamed, etc. These things go to prove the powers of SOUND.
Modern day's scientists, after their research came to the conclusion that the cows give more milk when they are kept in an environment of Music. Same effects have been seen on the growth of plants; This goes to prove that the sound not only has effect on a Human being, but also on the animals and even the trees and plants.
A battalion of Army is advised against marching as it normally does, while crossing a bridge, for the reason that the powerful vibrations made might cause damage to the bridge. This goes to prove the sound's effect even on a non-living thing.
Tansen the famous court-musician of Emperor Akbar, could make the clouds pour down by singing the Raga MEGH MALHAAR, and could lit the lamps by singing RAGA DEEPAK. This too is an excellent example of the power of Sound.
The Scientists, after doing many experiments in their Laboratories have accepted the 'Power of Sound'.
