Person's name written in English alphabet is used to determine the name number. Each letter of the spellings of the name is converted into digital form (see table of numbers given to each letter of English alphabet) and these digits are added together until a single digit is obtained at last. Suppose, you have to determine the name number of a person named Madan Kaushik. So, first of all, write the name in English.

Similarly, you can calculate the number for a town, city and even country like Delhi and India.
