INTRODUCTION :
‘Islam’
means to submit one’s will to the will of God. A person who submits his will to the will of God Almighty is called a Muslim.
Islam is not a new religion but it was there right from the day, man set his foot on the earth.
Time to time God has sent his messengers to mankind to remind them that their God is one and also to warn them. The Quran speaks about them.
"We assuredly sent amongst every people a messenger with the command."
(Al-Qur’ an 16:36)
"Here is a message for mankind, let them take a warning from it. Let them know that their God is one God. Let the men of understanding take heed."
(Al-Qur’ an 14:52)
All the Prophets who came before Prophet Muhammed (p.b.u.h.) followed the religion of monotheism. They called the people to worship their creator, the one who provides them sustenance.
