Following omens are considered as auspicious while starting a journey.
Brahmanas reciting vedas, dancing prostitute urn filled with water, sailor, sweeper, junk dealer, singing prostitute, playing of instruments, ringing of a clock, blooming flowers, gardener, with flowers, girl (less than 10 years of age) girl with floral garland, well dressed girl, suhagina woman, mother and son together etc.
DIRECTION AS THORN
Every one needs to travel but often the travel proves comfortable or often it turns out to be full of grief. In this context consideration of this direction as thorn (DISHASHULA) is must for you these are following:
- Monday --- East is like thorn
- Saturday --- Direction's thorn lies in the east, journey to east is inauspicious
- Sunday --- Direction's thorn lies in the west journey to west is inauspicious
- Friday --- Direction's thorn lies in the west journey to west is inauspicious
- Thursday --- Direction's thorn lies in the south journey is inauspicious to south.
- Tuesday --- Direction's thorn lies in the north journey to north is inauspicious
- Wednesday --- Direction's thorn lies in the north journey to the north is inauspicious
On the above mentioned days journey must not be undertaken to the directions in which Disha Shula lies for that day.
OPINION OF THE AUTHORITIES
In context of journey, authorities have different opinions. Such as, Brihaspati- The teacher of the gods says that start your journey considering the omens only. Garg Muni says that when five Gharis of night are left, i.e. two hours before the sunrise, begin your journey. Janardana Rishi dictates that the journey must be begun only after the permission of Brahamana.In the opinion of Angira, when your conscious is free of anger, fear doubts, that is when your mood is delighted, it is best to begin a journey.
FLUTTERING OF ORGANS
Fluttering of organs has a special place in the consideration of omens. Fluttering of organs as an omen has been so popular since antiquity that from the youngest to the eldest of the family member has been talking about it. But in the present scientific age, people reject this omen as imagination or superstition. But still people are heard saying sentence like:
My left eye is fluttering
Fluttering of right side organs of the male and left side organs of female is considered as good omen.
Following is a brief discussion of the omens as fluttering of organs and its result:
- Fluttering of head is mainly beneficial. If the back part of the head flutters, desires of the person are fulfilled.
- If all of the head flutters, the person has to do a lot of labour. If the right part of the forehead flutters journey is painful and if the left part of the forehead, one gets happiness in the journey.
- Fluttering of neck is auspicious it occasionally gives sexual pleasure with the woman.
- Fluttering of the right ear gives a man promotion, while fluttering of the left ear causes loss.
- If the eyebrows of a man flutters, he gets love and affection.
- Fluttering of the right eye is auspicious but fluttering of the left eye gives an indication of sorrow from the woman.
- Fluttering right eyelid gives happiness while fluttering of left eyelid causes suffering.
- If the right cheek flutters, one gets benefits, while fluttering of the left cheek causes expenses. If the cheek of a pregnant woman flutters in the middle, she gets a baby girl.
- Fluttering of nose has proven as auspicious.
- Fluttering of mouth is considered auspicious in all situation.
- Fluttering of tongue causes unnecessary quarrels
- Fluttering of the lips is usually auspicious.
- Fluttering of the chin is also auspicious.
- Fluttering of the right shoulder causes ado while fluttering of the left shoulder enables you to put down the enemy. If both the shoulders flutter there is a fear of dispute
- Fluttering of the right side gives luxuries while of the left side causes loss of these luxuries
- Fluttering of the right arm is auspicious while fluttering of the left arm is inauspicious and fluttering of both arms at same time causes quarrels.
- If the right hand flutters one gets honor in the society while fluttering of the left hand causes separateness.
- Fluttering of the right palm causes greed leading to profit.
- Fluttering of the left palm causes loss.
- Fluttering of the back causes inauspicious happenings.
- Fluttering of the right side of the waist is in auspicious while fluttering of the left side of the waist is considered auspicious.
- If the whole of the waist flutters a journey is sure.
- Fluttering of the abdomen gives both auspicious as well as inauspicious results.
- If the private organs of a person flutter he or she has to undertake a long travel even a foreign trip is possible
- Fluttering of the naval is disastrous
- Fluttering of the mid part of the chest alone is considered auspicious.
- Fluttering of the heart is also inauspicious.
- Fluttering of the left thigh is auspicious Fluttering of the right thigh causes panic in the enemies
- Fluttering of the lips is beneficial in all conditions.
- Fluttering of the right foot ends all the pains while fluttering of the left foot results in desired journey.
- Fluttering of the left knee alone is considered auspicious.
- Fluttering of the right hand thumb brings in good news while fluttering of the left-hand thumb causes loss.
- Fluttering of the feet's thumb is generally auspicious.
- Fluttering of the calf muscle causes fear from the foes.
- Fluttering of the upper part of the teeth gives happiness.
- Fluttering beneath the right eye brings honor.
- Fluttering beneath the left eye causes unnecessary expenses.
- Fluttering of the left foot's finger is auspicious.
- Fluttering of the first and the last finger of the right foot is not considered auspicious.
- If a person walks with an audible sound of footsteps like "Dhapp-Dhapp", that person is not auspicious.
- Scratching on the instep causes journey.
