Experts of omens believe that it is auspicious sign if an owl calls or is seen in the left- hand side. If it is seen behind, the person will succeed in his object. But calling or seeing of an owl on the right hand side is an in auspicious sign.

SWAN
Swan is an auspicious bird. In the field of charms (mantras), its usefulness is vividly described. Being unavailable everywhere, its sight is rare. Since swan is the vehicle of "Saraswati" the goddess of knowledge, she is also called as "Hansavahini" the rider of the swan. Hence this bird is definitely auspicious and good omen, only if one gets a sight of it.
The color of the swan is snow white. Usually it lives in clean and pure lakes. During the times of migration, call of the swan has different omens. Such as if it calls once it shows the fear of theft, if it calls twice one gets money, if it calls thrice there is a fear of accidents, if it calls four times one gets honor from the state.

STORK
Like swan, a stork is also white in color with slight variation of things according to the species. Its appearance and feathers are different. COCK
Cock is a popular bird. It is raised for many reasons and is delicious item of food also. A cock is also considered important for omens.
Crowing of a cock at dawn is auspicious.
If a cock crows with high pitch while starting a journey, it shows a bon voyage.
Crowing of a cock on the right- hand side is especially auspicious.
If in the beginning of a job, a cock crows or is seen on the right hand side it is extremely auspicious sign.
Crowing of a cock in the night is also auspicious.
If a cock crows continuously or at intervals in the day, shows an imminent misfortune on the owner.

DROPPINGS OF SPARROW
